After a five-year hiatus, Campus Game Fest (CGF) 2024 returns bigger and better, re-establishing itself as Singapore’s premier community gaming festival in Southeast Asia. From 26-27 October 2024, 10 AM to 9 PM, CGF will take over ITE College Central, offering two days of non-stop excitement for gaming enthusiasts and creatives alike.
The Campus Game Fest, along with its associated events, aims to highlight the importance of esports education, with a focus on regional expansion and national recognition. In collaboration with various educational institutions and community associations, these initiatives help build a sustainable esports ecosystem that nurtures students’ interests, unlocks their talent and provides access to educational opportunities.
With esports rapidly growing in the ASEAN region, Campus Game Fest serves as a key platform for regional talent to shine. The Asia Pacific Predator League will feature the Singapore Qualifier with a S$10,000 prize pool, while the Campus Legends Invitational: Southeast Asia’s best collegiate teams, represent their college and their country, compete for the highest honor and glory in Street Fighter 6 and Mobile Legends.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament will also see champions from six Southeast Asian nations competing for national pride. As a highlight, Tencent will host a livewatch party for the Honor of Kings Community Day, uniting fans for a unique viewing experience at CGF.
Chia Li Shi, Managing Director of Acer Computer Singapore: “We are thrilled to kick off Predator League Singapore 2024 with Campus Game Fest, where the winner will join us for the sixth edition Asia Pacific Predator League in Kuala Lumpur. As esports continues to grow in the ASEAN region, events like CGF are essential in providing a stage for local talent to compete and excel. Predator Gaming is dedicated to empowering the next generation of gamers and fostering a vibrant, competitive community. We look forward to witnessing the intense competition and camaraderie that CGF is known for.”
Dennis Ooi, President of SCOGA and Co-Chairman of Campus Game Fest: “Campus Game Fest has always been more than just a celebration of gaming; it’s a platform where students can immerse themselves in the world of esports, media production and content creation. By involving students in different areas of the event, we’re fostering hands-on learning experiences beyond traditional education.”
